Modern technology has arrived with the 2016 Toyota Tacoma in a big way. The quality of pickup trucks has generally been defined by hauling strength, engine power and of-road performance, plus practicality and usability. Your local Toyota of Dothan is giving you the scoop on all the new features that are coming up on this model.

Toyota is now adding technological innovations and proved this in its unveiling of the 2016 Tacoma at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 12th.

The high-tech features that are coming on the 2016 Toyota Tacoma are both amazing and surprising since some of this has never been seen on a pickup before. Toyota has now adapted these features for the 2016 Tacoma to add a bit of techno-savvy to a vehicle that is normally all brawn and muscle.

The 2016 model Tacoma will have a smart key with a push-button start, and has a multi-terrain select system which lets the driver choose between various terrains. This will improve the off-road abilities of the pickup. You’ll also find rear locking differential and automatic limited slip, for manual transmission a clutch start cancel, a hill start assist control, to slow down there is crawl control and active traction control for a better grip on the road.

This Tacoma can also control the braking an acceleration of the vehicle so you can focus on steering, pretty much leaving the rest to the truck itself. A GoPro rearview camera is included as well.

On the dash, there is an audio system with an enhanced touch screen, a monitor for blind spots with cross-traffic alert and charge your smartphone with a wireless Qi charging station.
