Selling with Positive Equity

Positive equity is when the market value of your car is higher than the remaining balance on your loan. For instance, if your car is valued at $35,000 and you owe just $5,000, you're looking at $30,000 in positive equity.

When you're in this favorable position and ready to sell your vehicle, we can proceed in one of two ways. Option one involves us paying off your loan in full to your lender, who will then issue you a check for the difference. Alternatively, in option two, we'll settle the outstanding loan balance with your lender directly and then pay you the remaining equity separately. Once all payments are complete, you and your lender will release the title to us.

Selling with Negative Equity

Negative equity occurs when the amount you owe on your car exceeds its current market value. For instance, if your car is valued at $10,000 but your loan balance is $12,000, you're facing $2,000 in negative equity. However, the silver lining is that it's still possible to sell a car with negative equity! In such cases, we'll pay the current value of the car, and you would simply cover the $2,000 difference to settle your loan. With our payment in your hand, clearing your balance with the lender can be straightforward and hassle-free.
