Have Your Wedding in the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens

The Dothan Area Botanical Gardens make for a beautiful backdrop for your wedding. The botanical gardens are located just four miles north of Dothan off Highway 431. You won’t find a prettier venue to hold your special day in the Wiregrass, and your photos will be a breathtaking reminder of your day.

The Wedding Garden

The Wedding Garden is surrounded by flowering trees and offers a formal garden design perfect for weddings. If you get married here in the summer, you’ll enjoy crepe myrtle and wisteria accents. Spring weddings in this garden have flowering dogwood trees and azaleas.

Indoor Reception

As of 2011, the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens became the ideal setting for garden weddings with the addition of Ricketts Hall. The reception space offers a full kitchen, changing rooms, and a large area for dinner and dancing.

Padlocks of Love

A growing trend for lovers to prove that their love is the true thing is through “Padlocks of Love”. These padlocks symbolize eternal love, and are locked on fences, gates, and bridges. You and your partner engrave or print your names or initials on the locks, lock them around something permanent, and then throw away the key to lock your love in place eternally. Only a few Padlocks of Love sites appear in the United States, and the Botanical Gardens is one of them. The gardens have a Lock Gate inside the Gardens, near the gazebo. You can lock your padlock free of charge. Bring your camera!
