Bird and Bean Coffee House

Situated in downtown Dothan on North Foster Street, the Bird and Bean Coffee House opened its doors in 2017 on the site of the former Baxter’s Shoe Store. The bright and airy coffee shop has large skylights and open rafters. The owners encourage you and your date to enjoy the welcoming atmosphere while partaking in a variety of beverages. The menu includes a variety of espresso, frozen, and blended beverages, as well as tea, hot chocolate, brewed coffee, and chai latte. Keep in mind that this coffee shop is closed on Sundays.

Mural City Coffee Company

Also located in downtown Dothan but on South Foster Street, the Mural City Coffee Company opened in 2018 and resides in a 95-year-old, 15,000-square-foot brick building. It was created to bring local art and culture, as well as a fantastic cup of coffee to the area. The family-owned and -operated roastery, tea bar, and espresso bar features bar-style seating, allowing you and your date to watch the roasting process from start to finish.

Whether you’re just getting to know someone or grabbing a coffee with a significant other, Dothan has you covered with coffee shops. Make a point to check out these two Dothan-area spots next time you’re in the area.
