Dothan, Alabama, is a small town in the Southeastern part of the state, and it has plenty of Christmas cheer to share. Beginning in the month of December, you’ll have several great activities to enjoy each weekend. Here are two Christmas festivities around Dothan that you won’t want to miss.
Downtown Dothan Christmas Festival
In downtown Dothan, on Saturday, Dec. 1, Santa Claus will be visiting! He’s bringing a pile of snow for sledding as well as other fun activities like art and crafts and Christmas caroling. From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., visitors can enjoy a great time soaking up the holiday spirit.
Victorian Christmas
On Dec. 9 from 1-4 p.m., visitors and residents of Dothan can enjoy a Victorian Christmas at Landmark Park on U.S. Highway 431 North. You’ll get to celebrate the season with warm goodies like mulled cider and hot chocolate. Guests can also sample desserts from the Victorian era and enjoy a wagon ride.
Family-friendly activities, like creating Christmas ornaments and decorations, will keep the kids entertained. Admission is free for everyone, and guests are welcome to stay for the whole three hours or come and go throughout the event. Visitors are asked to please bring along a nonperishable food item to donate to the Wiregrass Area Food Bank.
Another great way to celebrate this season of joy and giving is to head to Toyota of Dothan and check out our selection of brand-new Toyota vehicles. Find the perfect gift for a very special someone or enjoy a test drive around the block.
