With its all-new design and dynamic driving features, the 2019 Toyota Avalon is already generating a lot of buzz. It will likely become available in late 2018, but here’s a look at its features.

From the Outside

You’ll notice the differences immediately from the exterior when you’re comparing the outgoing model to the 2019 Avalon. It sits lower to the ground and shows off sleek curves, while the front has an oversized grille with eye-catching headlights. The distinctive lower rocker panel sits behind the front wheels, showing off the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform. This model is also wider and longer than the previous Avalon.

Luxurious Interior

Toyota designers also added new interior accents and features to add to the luxury of the 2019 Avalon. The Touring trim boasts aluminum accents and Ultrasuede upholstery, while the Limited will have real wood trim and quilted stitching details in the leather. This model will also come standard with Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, engine sound enhancement, and other first-time features.

On the safety side, the Toyota Safety Sense P will be included, which has a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane departure alert, and dynamic radar cruise control.

Power and Performance

The powertrain options will look familiar to fans of other Toyota models. These include an upgraded 3.5-liter V-6 and a four-cylinder hybrid option found in the hybrid Camry.
