The fall will be here before you know it, and people are already planning their fall activities. In Alabama, you can find a lot of activities for the season that take advantage of the change in weather so that everyone has a good time. Here is a look at two fun fall events in Alabama.
Cullman Oktoberfest
With the fall comes the Cullman Oktoberfest, which will be held the first weekend of October. Like similarly named festivals, Cullman Oktoberfest celebrates the season with some traditional German and modern American pastimes. Events are planned for this year, including a car show, races, and walking tours of the town’s history. Along the way, there will be plenty of traditional German foods, as well as a healthy appreciation of beer across the town.
National Shrimp Festival
Alabama is well known for having some of the best and most plentiful seafood options since it sits on the Gulf Coast. That’s why the National Shrimp Festival is held in Gulf Shores, Alabama. It celebrates the state’s shrimp harvest, as well as other seafood options. You can stop by the festival on the second full weekend of October. This year’s headliner is Joe Diffie, and there will be plenty of other musical acts and entertainment throughout the festival.
There are events scheduled all over Alabama, so a bit of driving will be needed to see them all. Stop by Toyota of Dothan if your car needs work, or if you think you might need a new one.
