2 Dothan Music Venues for Country Fans

Not only is Dothan a great area for country music lovers, but it’s also home to one of the best country entertainment venues in the country. In addition to Cowboys, there are also a few other places where you can go to hear country music.

1. Cowboys

Cowboys has been a favorite venue for country music since 1980. It’s the largest honky-tonk east of the Mississippi, and in addition to the music, there are five pool tables, four bars, a snack bar, and a huge dance floor with room for 300 people. With its impressive lineup of artists, Cowboys is the place for live music in Dothan. This March, you can catch Mustang Sally, Sabin Sharpe, and Shelby Lee Lowe.

2. The Plant

The Plant in downtown Dothan welcomes all types of music artists including country music performers. Once a Coca-Cola factory, The Plant is now a music venue that sports the latest technology. Cody Johnson will perform on March 23 with special guest Frank Foster, and Drake White, an Alabama native, will perform with Jordan Brooker on April 5. You can also see bands such as Black Stone Cherry and Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown for a Southern rock experience in May.
