Summer temperatures in Dothan, Alabama, can reach the triple-digit mark and there’s no better place to cool off than at a water park. Find out which two water parks you should take a dip in near this area.

  1. Adventureland Theme Park

Situated on West Main Street, Adventureland Theme Park has a smaller water area, but you can enjoy other activities. At the Bumper Boats, you can chase and soak your friends via the built-on water blasters. Afterward, disembark and get behind the wheel of some Go-Karts, play 18 holes of miniature golf, take a swing in the batting cages, or try your luck at one of the many arcade games.

Pricing for these activities is a la carte, but you can purchase the daily special, which includes one game of golf, one Go-Kart ride, one Bumper Boat ride, and 15 arcade tokens, all for $17.

  1. Water World

Located on Recreation Road, Water World is open from the end of May through the beginning of August. Take on the Rip Tide Wave Pool and its 450,000 gallons of water that create 3-foot waves every 10 minutes. Or if adventure is in your system, catapult down the four-story tower slide called The Great White. If you have little ones, check out the Tadpole Hole with its kid-friendly water slides and shallow pool area.

Whether you enjoy spending your summer immersed in cool water or love battling against your friends and soaking each other, Dothan has you covered. You can’t go wrong with either of these two water park locations.
