The Toyota Prius

The Toyota Prius is labeled as having bland handling and a slow acceleration by critics, but they like its spacious cabin and excellent fuel economy due to some very smart drivetrain programming.

The 2015 Prius includes a four-cylinder engine, automatic transmission and electric motor. The fuel economy is estimated to be 51/48 mpg city/highway, which is excellent for this class. Although noted as a bit sluggish on acceleration, this little vehicle has enough power once it gets up to speed.

The Prius has an attractive and modern interior with convenient storage spaces, and the hatchback model has one of the largest cargo areas in the class. Both rows of seating have comfortable and spacious seating. Many find the digital instrument cluster easy to see and read and the 2015 Prius comes standard with many great features such as Bluetooth, a rearview camera, a six-speaker audio system with a 6.1 inch touch screen, USB and auxiliary inputs, proximity key, push-button start and automatic climate control.

Other features which are available include a moon roof with solar panels which power ventilation an, navigation and remote air condition system which cools the car while it is parked, adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, satellite and HD radio, lane keep assist, an eight-speaker JBL audio system, Toyota’s exclusive Entune smartphone app integrate and their Safety Connect telematics system.

Although some find fault in this vehicle in its acceleration and its driving experience, the Toyota Prius has a lot of great features that many believe outweigh the bad.
