Summer is right around the corner and so is the camping season. If you’re planning on taking your  4Runner out for camping trips this summer, you want to make sure that you have everything you need for a successful and fun experience. Here are some tips that will help ensure you and your Toyota 4Runner are ready for plenty of fun camping trips this summer.

Check the Tires – Checking the pressure in your tires is always important, especially if you plan on taking your SUV off-road. Before you head out, make sure that your tires are properly inflated. Check your owner’s manual to find out the proper PSI for your tires.

Pack Appropriately – Make sure your camping equipment doesn’t roll around in the storage area of your 4Runner by packing your gear in plastic bins. Place lids on top of each bin, stack them on top of each other and then use elastic cords to secure them in place in the trunk of your SUV.

Have an Emergency Kit – Make sure you take along an emergency kit. A portable air pump to use in the event that your tires become low is a wise idea to have on hand. A new spare tire is also essential, as is a jack that is in proper working order. You’ll also want to have jumper cables available should your battery die.

You’ll have peace of mind when camping in your Toyota 4Runner this summer when you make sure you plan ahead appropriately.
