Meet the Mitchells: Meredith Mitchell and Her Heart for Coffee County Family Services

At Mitchell Automotive, giving back is more than a value. It's a legacy. That legacy is lived out every day through the Mitchell family and their deep commitment to serving the Wiregrass community.

Today, we're proud to highlight Meredith Mitchell, daughter of Mitchell Automotive founder John Mitchell, Sr., and a passionate advocate for families right here in Coffee County.

Meredith is actively involved in several community organizations, but one cause especially close to her heart is Coffee County Family Services. She currently serves as a member of the Coffee County Family Services Board of Directors, helping guide and support the organization's mission to strengthen families and provide hope during life's most challenging moments.

A Beacon of Support for Wiregrass Families

The Coffee County Family Services Center is a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting Wiregrass families through parent education, case management, access to vital resources, and family strengthening programs. Their work touches families at critical points, offering stability, guidance, and encouragement when it's needed most.

For Meredith, this mission is personal. She has seen firsthand the impact the organization has on parents and children across our community, and she continues to advocate for its growth and long-term success.

A Historic and Heartfelt Dedication

Today marked an especially meaningful milestone for Coffee County Family Services. Meredith, alongside fellow board members, officially named the organization's building in honor of its longtime executive director.

The center is now proudly known as the Judy Reece Crowley Building, Home of Coffee County Family Services, located at 208 West Brunson Street in Enterprise.

Judy Reece Crowley has devoted 28 years and counting to serving families through Coffee County Family Services. Her tireless leadership, compassion, and unwavering dedication have shaped the organization into what it is today.

Reflecting on the decision to name the building in Judy's honor, Meredith shared:

“Judy Reece Crowley has given her heart to Coffee County Family Services for nearly three decades. Naming this building in her honor was the most meaningful way we could say thank you for the lives she's touched, the families she's supported, and the steady leadership she's shown our community year after year. This building represents hope, and Judy has been the heart of that hope for 28 years.”

The dedication stands as a lasting tribute to Judy's legacy and the countless families whose lives have been positively impacted by her work.

Continuing the Mitchell Automotive Commitment

Meredith's involvement reflects the same values Mitchell Automotive was founded on, caring for people, strengthening families, and investing in the communities we call home.

As a group, Mitchell Automotive dealerships are proud to lead the holiday Bicycle Drive and Toys for Tots collection each year in support of Coffee County Family Services. These efforts are one small way we can help ensure local families feel supported, especially during the holiday season.

Giving back is not a one-time effort. It's an ongoing commitment, passed down through generations of the Mitchell family and shared by our entire Mitchell Automotive team.
